Now thru Nov. 4th.Happy Fall friends and family!
(I know it's been fall for a min already haha but it still applies)! This is my FAVORITE season of the year. Oh the layers... In the fall, I have the urge to share delicious hot home cooked meals, invite friends over to play games and music, and just be grateful for the coziness of being indoors. It is also a beautiful time to go hiking before the chill of winter sets in, while the air is fresh and crisp. These are the things on my mind this time of year.
With that, I have a special collection that I have been keeping on the DL.. One that represents my connection to nature in a style that most clearly speaks to what I seek as a visual artist.
Living in the city, I find myself looking down often. Buildings surround the view most of the time. In these moments of looking down, I get wrapped up in mulling over thoughts, forgetting to take deep breaths and step out of my emotions to see things more clearly. I find that I forget to simply look up and breathe. Something about having four walls (or buildings) around me all the time does that I think. Despite this, even between rows of buildings, the sky is vast and clear, nothing impeding the wind that rushes through clearing the air. When I look up, I remember to inhale and breath. I remember that my emotions are part of something larger and I don't have to be sweet up by them. They can just be carried by the breeze. Looking up, I am reminded of just being without doing or rushing or going. Just being.
This special collection titled "Breath + Space" is reminiscent of looking up, and remembering the feeling of openness reflected in vast spaces. This combination of textures and the feeling I get in these places feels perfectly captured by these pieces.
There are just 10 pieces in this limited collection.
All 6x9 in.
They are simple, beautiful and full of breath.
I am excited to share them with you.

Where Should I Meet You? :: Now Booking for a House Concert + Watercolor Workshop TourHello friends and family!
This week has been filled with inspiration- from playing Bourbon & Branch with the wonderful Letitia VanSant and Jackson Emmer to the opening of my first collection and single release WAVZ at Urban Art Gallery. Including performing at cozy house show in Mt. Airy, sharing watercolor projections and music at the Barnes and being interviewed on iHeart Radio, these past few weeks have been spectacular. Performing and showing up to lots of events has helped me to reflect on what it is about these spaces that makes them so beautiful:
1. building personal (and in person) connections with new people and seeing old friends
2. performing in intimate spaces (with friends, family, food and cozy seating)
3. getting to have conversations about watercolors, music and the need for self care and healthy self expression
4. meeting fellow creators, community builders and art lovers in various parts of the world
I have been thinking about ways to cultivate/ step into these beautiful spaces more, similar to the reflection I talked about before- what spaces do I want my art to exist in and what do I want it to do in those spaces. After this busy week of performing, connecting with many new friends, vending, teaching workshops and releasing new works, I've learned that a beautiful way to combine all these elements is through intimate performances filled with art, music and community. Not just in Philly, but on a tour!
I started hosting house concerts at my house last year and they are always such a beautiful time. I love getting to connect the amazing music of my musical friends with art lovers, building support for artists to keep doing what they do. I love that house concerts fill my house with great energy and are place where people can talk, connect, sit back and get cozy to enjoy music. The good energy lasts much longer than the concert. That being said...
I've decided to book a TOUR bringing music, watercolors, stories of adventure and wonderful energy to your part of the world.
I just need to know where to go.. :)
I would love your help in getting connected with locations for House Concerts/ Watercolor Workshops. If you would like to invite friends over for a beautiful night of music and color, let's talk! If you know a friend who might be interested in hosting, feel free to connect me.

Ah! IDK.. Tell Me More!
I have toured in Switzerland playing many house shows through a network of friends but have not yet toured the intimate spaces of the US. I am excited to experience new parts of the world, meet new people, see friends and observe how these experiences and inspirations make their way into my music and watercolors. I look forward to coming to visit YOU on this adventure!
*If you aren't sure about hosting but know a friend who is a hoster with the moster (non-female gendered version of that phrase), please feel free to connect me! You can send them my email at firstname.lastname@example.org or respond to this email with their contact info to start the conversation.
See you tonight at 6PM @ Urban Art Gallery for the opening reception of WAVZ. Entry is free. Wine is complimentary. The space will be filled with beautiful watercolors, friends, family and music. Look forward to having you there!
Hello friends and family,
I am excited to announce that the WAVZ Collection is now live for you to view! It has been a process merging the elements of water, sound, color and purpose together into the art I make and this collection finally seems to pull all these elements into a cohesive moment. I hope you enjoy.
In support of developing artistically, 10% of all proceeds from this collection are going towards Aspiring Young Artists- an artistic mentoring program that pairs high school students with a local musician in Philly to write and record an original song. I began writing songs in high school and would have loved the support of an artist mentor to encourage me to be brave in developing my own artistic voice and in sharing my story.
The secret pre-release of this collection only lasts until Saturday and is exclusively available to you. On Saturday, this collection will become available to the public. All pieces purchased will be marked "SOLD" while on display at Urban Art Gallery for the month of October and sent to you/ available for pick up upon completion of the show in November. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Thank you for all those who have joined the adventure at any one of these events the past couple weeks. I'm so glad you are along for the ride. And thank you to all those who have been supporting my journey through music, painting and life learning. It means so much to share all of this with you.
There are a few more stops on this train ride before things settle into Fall. Pick a stop you'd like to meet up at:
Oct. 4 // 8PM :: Headlining the night w/ Brittany Ann and Jackson Emmer @ Bourbon & Branch
Oct. 6 // 6-9PM :: SOLO Gallery Opening & Single Release for New Collection :: WAVZ @ Urban Art Gallery
Oct. 13 // Post Studio Tour @ Glen Foerd (Come see the large installation piece in progress that I am creating on for this residency! Along with work by other amazing Artists in Residence like Karina Puente :D)
On Saturday, October 6th, I will release what in many ways feels like my first official body of work as an artist. This work combines powerful visuals with a new single and poetry, all of which have been months in the making. It's kinda like my coming-out party as an artist. I have realized that my inspiration throughout most all of my work (painting, performing, teaching, learning, etc), comes from the power of people. My Dad once told me that to evolve from the ocean, we needed to figure out a way to carry salt in our bodies.
We are each little bodies of water, and together we create waves of change.
I am excited to share these new works with you October 3rd at 6pm EST (aka tomorrow at 6PM). With the link I send out tomorrow, the new works will be available to you first, 48 hours before being opened to the general public. Please let me know what you think and feel free to claim and purchase any pieces you'd like during the pre-release.
Mark your calendars for the opening reception this Saturday, October 6th and get ready to preview the collection TOMORROW at 6PM EST!
Here we go...
