Color & Fashion Watercolor Workshop
What's in a color and how to choose? Are you drawn to warm or cool colors and what's your "season"? Though painting and fashion, we'll explore what different colors mean, a little on their histories, and what they bring to our clothing and paintings! This is a very special workshop in collaboration with a wonderful human being and designer, Denise Shardlow of Denise Shardlow Designs. She hosted a watercolor workshop a little while ago and I'm very excited to be returning to her beautiful space for a collaborative fashion and painting workshop experience on Sunday, March 24th from 1-3PM!
Taking inspiration from a wide array of textiles and our own insights into color, we will...
- learn how to determine our own personal "season" of colors
- experiment with different color swatches and create our own through color mixing
- learn techniques for transferring emotion to our works through blind sketching, collage and watercolor play
You'll leave with 2 color collecting sketches, 4 original watercolor postcards (made by you) to send to friends and family, a take home worksheet to help navigate the color choices of your "season", and 1 original emotive abstract piece to keep for yourself or gift to someone else!
*To get a sneak peak into how amazing, thoughtful and fun Denise is, sign up for her mailing list or take a look at her blog HERE- I love her informative and interesting "Fashion Friday" emails. My understanding of fashion has expended since meeting her through these weekly tips- that fashion is about color and textures but there's such history to what and why we wear certain things. It's going to be an amazing workshop and I can't wait to see everyone's creations!
All materials are provided- just bring yourself and your creativity. So excited to create with you in this special co-hosted workshop combining the worlds of art and fashion through color!
Reserve your seat and invite friends!
